A well-balanced and diversified gut microbiome can contribute to lowered risk of chronic health conditions that may develop later in life.

So... why is baby gut microbiome important?

We now know that a baby’s first three years of life are critical time period to develop a healthy microbiome. Gut microbiome helps us digest and metabolize food, regulates and maintains our immune system, synthesizes important vitamins in our body, and protects us against pathogens. There is also growing evidence that the gut microbiome influences certain developments in the brain, including cognitive and emotional/social development.

Introducing Snapi

Snapi will collect a small sample of your baby’s number two in a test tube sent to you. The sample is sent to our lab where our scientists will determine which bacteria are present in your baby's gut and how much of it is present. You’ll have access to our Registered Dietitians to review your baby's results and provide personalized advice for improving your baby's gut health.

Testimonials

My baby has struggled with mucousy poop since he was 2 months old so I ordered Snapi’s microbiome test kit before introducing solids. Understanding what was going on in my baby’s gut helped me understand what foods to introduce and when.

Sara

Best thing you can do for your toddler! I received the test as a gift from my family after trying different remedies for constipation. I even brought the results of the test and recommendations from Snapi to my pediatrician!

Michelle

I was always curious about microbiome testing. It’s reassuring I can check my baby’s gut microbiome every few months in my home. Seeing the progress from 3 months to 6 months was amazing
